{"id":22679,"date":"2014-05-26T19:24:41","date_gmt":"2014-05-26T18:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/automatedhome.com\/?p=22679"},"modified":"2017-03-02T13:53:21","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T13:53:21","slug":"rumour-apple-working-on-home-automation-features-for-iphone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/automatedhome.com\/apple\/rumour-apple-working-on-home-automation-features-for-iphone.html","title":{"rendered":"Rumour: Apple Working on Home Automation Features for iPhone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Financial Times\u00a0is reporting that Apple are once again\u00a0working to integrate Smart Home technology into the iPhone.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"sj-gblock\">\n<script language=\"javascript\">\n<!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-5598479065369258\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300; \ngoogle_ad_height = 250; \ngoogle_ad_format = \"300x250_as\"; \ngoogle_ad_channel = \"7058025304\"; \ngoogle_ad_type = \"text_image\"; \ngoogle_color_border = \"FFFFFF\"; \ngoogle_color_bg = \"FFFFFF\"; \ngoogle_color_link = \"52a79f\"; \ngoogle_color_url = \"CFFFDF\"; \ngoogle_color_text = \"000000\"; \n\/\/--> \n<\/script>\n<script language=\"javascript\"  src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\"><\/script>\n<\/div>The FT reports that Apple will make a &#8220;Big Play&#8221; in the smart home tech world at their World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco\u00a0next month.<\/p>\n<p>Apple already has a raft\u00a0of relevant tech at their disposal. \u00a0Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">CarPlay<\/span> and\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">iBeacon<\/span> plus\u00a0rumours that the next iPhone will also feature\u00a0near-field communication (NFC).<\/p>\n<p>With millions of\u00a0homes already having Apple&#8217;s <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">iOS<\/span> iPhone \/ iPad touchscreens, WiFi access points, Apple TV&#8217;s and cloud services, many of the components for a home automation\u00a0system are already in place.
