There are\u00a0no less than 7\u00a0posts\u00a0in our top 20 based on these\u00a0technologies and our <a href=\"https:\/\/automatedhome.com\/vbulletin\/forumdisplay.php?13-Heating-Control\" target=\"_blank\">Heating Forums<\/a>\u00a0have been\u00a0buzzing.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"sj-gblock\">\n<script language=\"javascript\">\n<!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-5598479065369258\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300; \ngoogle_ad_height = 250; \ngoogle_ad_format = \"300x250_as\"; \ngoogle_ad_channel = \"7058025304\"; \ngoogle_ad_type = \"text_image\"; \ngoogle_color_border = \"FFFFFF\"; \ngoogle_color_bg = \"FFFFFF\"; \ngoogle_color_link = \"52a79f\"; \ngoogle_color_url = \"CFFFDF\"; \ngoogle_color_text = \"000000\"; \n\/\/--> \n<\/script>\n<script language=\"javascript\"  src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\"><\/script>\n<\/div>A special mention at number 17, for Chris Hunter&#8217;s series on his incredible Idratek powered Smart Home (look out for the third and final instalment coming early in the new\u00a0year).<\/p>\n<p>Large multinational corporations like Belkin continued to expand their smart home ranges this year, even with hacker friendly modules\u00a0like the WeMo Maker at number 11.<\/p>\n<p>We all\u00a0love a good &#8216;through the keyhole&#8217; look around someone else&#8217;s smart home installation and at number 3 Vesternet&#8217;s Z-Wave Case Study proved\u00a0very popular.<\/p>\n<p>At number 2 is our review\u00a0of the Synology 1813+,\u00a0the NAS that\u00a0took over storage duties after years of PC based servers in the Automated Home.
