Elgato have released the first UK plug-in smart home socket\u00a0to\u00a0supports Apple HomeKit. The Eve Energy is a switch and power meter that uses\u00a0Bluetooth Low Energy.<\/p>\n

Eve Energy has been carefully designed to make your home smarter, not more complicated. Energy efficient Bluetooth Smart technology ensures reliable operation without impacting your already crowded Wi-Fi setup.<\/p>\n

And since Eve Energy doesn’t need to constantly interfere with your other wireless devices, you’ll actually be able to consume less energy, not more.<\/p>\n

Supported Devices: Eve requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 9.1 or later. HomeKit requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8.1 or later. Controlling HomeKit-enabled accessories away from home requires an Apple TV (3rd generation or later) with Apple TV software 7.0 or later and an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8.1 or later. Note: iPad 2 is not supported.<\/p>\n
